The Putnam County ISOMS portal is the main online tool for checking recent arrests. It shows every person booked into the Putnam County Jail in the past 72 hours. No login or account is needed. The system updates in close to real time as new bookings get processed.

Each booking record on the portal shows the person's full name, age, race, sex, and intake date. How to Search Putnam County Bookings

The ISOMS portal is the fastest route. Go to the site and browse the list or use the search bar. You can filter by time frame. The 72 hour view is the default, but the 24 hour view and full inmate roster are also there.

If you can not find what you need online, call the jail's visitation line at (931) 646-1442 or the sheriff's office at (931) 528-8484. Staff can check on a person's status and give you basic booking details over the phone. For a formal request, visit the records office at 421 East Spring Street during business hours. You can also download the public records request form from the Putnam County website and mail it in. The office has 7 business days to respond.

One thing to keep in mind with Putnam County: they have a policy on frequent requests. If you send more than 4 requests in a single calendar month, the county may not combine them. Each one gets processed on its own timeline. That rule applies to individuals and groups working together.

Putnam County Arrest Records

Online searches through the ISOMS portal are free. You pay nothing to browse the 72 hour booking list or the full inmate roster. That covers most needs for people just checking on a recent arrest.

For copies or more detailed records, fees apply. Call the sheriff's office for current rates. If you want a statewide background check, the TBI TORIS portal costs $29 per name and covers all adult criminal history in Tennessee. The Felony Offender Information Lookup is free and shows anyone serving time in state prison. Both tools go well beyond just Putnam County data.

Not every arrest results in a booking. Under Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-7-118, officers can issue a citation for some misdemeanors instead of making a full arrest. In that case, no 72 hour booking record is created. If you think someone was cited and released, contact the arresting agency directly to check.
